About The Position

Garver's experienced Aviation Team in the Frisco, TX office is seeking a motivated civil engineering student to join our team to train and mentor as an Aviation Site Civil Engineering Intern. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by experienced aviation design professionals and industry leaders. You will receive training from senior engineers in various elements of private development on and adjacent to airport environments, providing design and construction oversight for general aviation and commercial service airports. Interns will visit Garver’s Aviation project sites, such as airport hangars and other airport support facilities. You will gain experience in the competitive consulting engineering industry by assisting with planned development, project administration, and submitting proposals. The Garver Launch Program is an immersive, hands-on intern development program designed to elevate your summer experience. Through this program, you will engage daily with fellow Garver Launch interns and industry professionals to build your network, participate in Garver's acclaimed wellness program to prioritize your overall well-being, give back to the community through volunteer activities as part of Garver Gives, and enhance your professional growth by collaborating with Garver's Learning and Development team, which offers tailored training and programs, including skills-based courses.

Requirements

Must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program
Strong interest in pursuing civil engineering in the aviation private development industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AutoCAD or Civil3D
