By joining our Department of Aviation, Capital City Airport Division, Aircraft Maintenance Branch as an Aviation Mechanic Inspector II in Franklin County, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and mentor a team of aviation maintenance professionals while overseeing the quality control process for a diverse fleet of aircraft. This role is ideal for an experienced aviation professional who is passionate about safety, precision, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Must have five years of experience in powerplant and airframe repair on aircraft.
  • Supervision of mechanics or flight personnel.
  • Adherence to Federal Regulation on Aircraft Maintenance.
  • Maintaining proper logbooks, parts inventory and FAA publication library.
  • Operating an aircraft tug, forklift or tractor.
  • Must possess an airframe and power plant certificate and inspector's certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.
  • Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this classification.

  • Leads and Develops Maintenance Personnel.
  • Manages Quality Control and Inspection Processes.
  • Plans and Manages Maintenance Programs, Scheduling and Resources.
