By joining our Department of Aviation, Capital City Airport Division, Aircraft Maintenance Branch as an Aviation Mechanic Inspector II in Franklin County, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and mentor a team of aviation maintenance professionals while overseeing the quality control process for a diverse fleet of aircraft. This role is ideal for an experienced aviation professional who is passionate about safety, precision, and leadership.
Requirements
- Must have five years of experience in powerplant and airframe repair on aircraft.
- Supervision of mechanics or flight personnel.
- Adherence to Federal Regulation on Aircraft Maintenance.
- Maintaining proper logbooks, parts inventory and FAA publication library.
- Operating an aircraft tug, forklift or tractor.
- Must possess an airframe and power plant certificate and inspector's certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.
- Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this classification.

- Supervises Aircraft maintenance Operations and Airworthiness Compliance.
- Leads and Develops Maintenance Personnel.
- Manages Quality Control and Inspection Processes.
- Plans and Manages Maintenance Programs, Scheduling and Resources.
- Ensures Safe, Efficient, and Customer-Focused Aviation Support.
