About The Position
Purpose: To serve as an instructor and program coordinator in the Aviation Program
Requirements
- Master's degree in Aviation or Bachelor's degree in Aviation with at least 15 years of instructor experience (CFI, CFII, MEI) with a reputable flight school.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage with students.
- Self-motivated, cooperative, flexible, creative.
Responsibilities
- Teach 12 hours of aviation courses, including ground courses, at both lower andupper levels.
- Assist in academic advising of aviation students and monitoring their progress towards meeting both degree requirements and FAA certification requirements.
- Assist in monitoring effectiveness of aviation curriculum and associated courses and contribute ideas for improvement as needed.
- Contribute to development and implementation of initiatives to recruit new students.
- Contribute to efforts to establish strong relationships with other aviation-related organizations, companies, and school operating in the region.
- Serve on university committees as needed.
- Provide service to community as needed.
