About The Position

Segula Technologies is seeking an Aviation Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and completed products. This role involves identifying defects, using measuring tools to verify compliance, and accepting or rejecting parts based on quality standards. The inspector will work from blueprints and specifications, apply statistical process control, and conduct line clearances. Responsibilities also include inspecting vendor and in-house components, maintaining records, and supporting production flow. Training and certification will be provided for additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must be open to working any shift
  • Proficient in the use of measurement tools and inspection equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience reviewing and working with re-drawings/revisions
  • Knowledge and experience with First Article Inspection (FAI)

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and completed products, including electronic units, electro-mechanical assemblies, mechanical components, and structural elements
  • Identify defects such as structural flaws, internal issues, or missing welds using established inspection methods and specifications
  • Use measuring tools and equipment (e.g., dial indicators, micrometers, scales, fixtures) to verify product compliance
  • Accept or reject parts, assemblies, or systems based on quality standards
  • Work from blueprints, diagrams, customer specifications, inspection instructions, and checklists
  • Apply statistical process control and other quality procedures to monitor and verify product quality
  • Perform line clearances after each production lot to ensure removal of previous materials
  • Inspect parts and assemblies using drawings (including CATIA), process specifications, and test procedures
  • Conduct dimensional inspections to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Document and report non-conforming materials, parts, assemblies, or processes according to procedures
  • Inspect vendor, subcontractor, and in-house components and assemblies
  • Follow a structured and pre-determined sequence of work
  • Prepare and maintain accurate quality and inspection records
  • Support production flow by assisting and cross-training in related roles, including assembly functions
  • Complete additional duties as assigned, with training and certification provided when required
