About The Position

As an Aviation Ground Support Equipment Mechanic, you are responsible for maintaining all ground support equipment (GSE) in a serviceable condition and collaborate with the warehouse government representative to ensure items are maintained in accordance with applicable Logistics Support Systems.

Requirements

  • Ability to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions, technical manuals and/or directives in English and to follow and administer verbal and written instruction.
  • Ability to perform the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with hangar/flight line activities.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license.
  • Must have an active clearance or the ability to obtain one (preference will be given to those with a clearance).

Responsibilities

  • Full knowledge of fuel systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems. Mechanical systems, and of gas and diesel internal combustion engines.
  • Thorough knowledge of GSE, aircraft and ground safety procedures, applicable maintenance/ technical manuals, basic tools, special tools, and test equipment.
