About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Houston, TX office. This role involves participating in focused training, team meetings, and presenting notes or results. Interns will receive coaching and mentoring to complete assignments or projects and develop their skillset. The intern will collaborate with experienced engineers to assist in operations, including the production of engineering drawings for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects such as runways, taxiways, aprons, roadways, parking lots, and supporting infrastructure. Responsibilities also include researching project site conditions, regulatory agency specifications or regulations, and performing field observations of construction where appropriate. The intern will also perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship.
  • Math skills to perform simple calculations.
  • Willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Responsibilities
