Parsons Corporation is seeking a Construction Engineer or Construction Management Intern to support engineering and construction projects at the Atlanta Airport. This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team. Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Literate in PC software, a working knowledge of CAD, and other computer software used to complete design assignments.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of engineering and construction
  • Ability to work on-site at the airport.

Responsibilities

  • Completing a variety of assignments such as field installation observations, engineering, tracking contractor submittals, quality assurance, and certifying work completed.
  • Reviewing small and portions of larger contractor drawing submittals and assisting in performing technical bid analyses.
  • Review specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents and ensure contractor is building in accordance with those referenced.
  • Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
  • Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
  • Becomes familiar with various standards and codes such as ANSI, PFI, and ASME.
  • Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
