This position integrates wires/harnesses into aircraft, troubleshoots systems to meet customer needs, and follows drawings, blueprints, instructions, Modification Work Orders, and Technical Manuals. The role involves assisting Aircraft General Mechanics with scheduled maintenance, terminating connectors (including coaxial cables), and clamping harnesses. Responsibilities also include conducting Maintenance Operational Checks and Acceptance Test Procedures, troubleshooting faulty systems, and utilizing various test sets and tools. The job requires performing soldering, regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks, continuity and power checks, and operating Ground Support Equipment. Additionally, the role involves removing, inspecting, repairing, and reinstalling aircraft parts/systems, annotating logbook and workbook entries according to service or contractual guidance, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. Employees must comply with processes and procedures as per DHS/Department of Defense (DOD) documents and publications, as well as safety rules and regulations, promptly reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe practices.
