About The Position

This role supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values, including the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Aviation Account Executive maintains overall responsibility for the entire renewal process for existing accounts, including policy review, game plan setting, loss analysis, program design, data completeness, and coverage/premium discrepancy issues. They also support winning new business and setting up new accounts, maintaining intimate knowledge of clients' business operations, strategies, and needs throughout the year. The position involves initiating the client renewal process by creating a Game Plan, conducting coverage analysis, and performing thorough reviews of policies and relevant documents. The role requires preparing for and facilitating meetings with key IMA stakeholders and clients, crafting marketing strategies, reviewing submissions, and negotiating with underwriters to determine proposal content. A commitment to continuous learning through ongoing education and awareness of industry trends, products, and services is essential, as is developing and maintaining carrier relationships. The role manages a book of business with $900K – $1 Million in revenue, with 50%-60% in the emerging market and 40%-50% in the middle market, and at least two large/complex accounts under the mentorship of an Account Executive Level 3.

Requirements

  • Experience in insurance or related industry based on the assigned book of business.
  • Ability to think strategically based on client’s priorities and marketplace cycle.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Experience leading and developing people.
  • Ability to delegate and hold team & partners accountable.
  • Experience working within Applied Epic preferred.
  • Holding or pursuing insurance designation preferred.
  • Experience with MS Office products required (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Travel required (up to 40% based on client book of business).

  • Kicks-off the client renewal process by creating the Game Plan and completing a coverage analysis and conducting thorough reviews of policies and documents.
  • Prepares for and facilitates meetings with key IMA stakeholders and clients.
  • Crafts marketing strategies, reviews submissions, and engages in negotiations with underwriters.
  • Pursues mastery of the craft through ongoing education and awareness of industry trends, products, and services.
  • Develops and maintains carrier relationships.
  • Manages a book of business with $900K – $1 Million in revenue.
  • Manages 50% - 60% of book revenue within the emerging market.
  • Manages 40% - 50% of book revenue within the middle market.
  • Works on at least two or more large/complex accounts under the mentorship of an Account Executive Level 3.
