About The Position

NetCentrics is seeking an experienced AV/VTC Engineer / Hardware-Software Specialist to support the Joint Service Provider (JSP) environment. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical support for Audio Visual (AV), Video Teleconferencing (VTC), and associated hardware and software systems supporting mission-critical users. This position requires a technically proficient, customer-focused professional capable of troubleshooting complex AV/VTC issues, supporting conference and collaboration environments, maintaining associated hardware and software, and coordinating with technical teams to ensure reliable service delivery. The position is contractually aligned to the HW/SW Specialist LCAT.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance or Higher
  • Demonstrated professional experience supporting AV/VTC, audiovisual, unified communications, IT hardware/software, or closely related technologies.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and software in an enterprise IT environment.
  • Experience supporting video conferencing and conference-room technologies.
  • Working knowledge of computers, displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, cabling, peripheral devices, and related AV/VTC components.
  • Ability to isolate technical problems and determine whether issues originate with hardware, software, network connectivity, configuration, or peripheral equipment.
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Ability to document technical issues and resolutions clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with a larger technical support team.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-visibility, mission-focused DoD environment.
  • Must meet all contractual and customer requirements associated with the HW/SW Specialist LCAT.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting AV/VTC environments within the Department of Defense, Pentagon, DISA, JSP, or another federal enterprise environment.
  • Experience with enterprise video conferencing, unified communications, and conference-room control technologies.
  • Experience with AV/VTC equipment from manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, Cisco, Poly, or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams or other enterprise collaboration platforms.
  • CompTIA Security+ or other DoD 8140/8570-aligned certification, if applicable to the position.
  • AV-industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS are a plus.
  • Experience working within ITIL-based incident, request, problem, and change-management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AV/VTC hardware and software systems.
  • Provide technical support for video conferencing, audio conferencing, presentation, display, and collaboration technologies.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, peripheral, and AV/VTC system issues.
  • Support conference rooms and other customer-facing AV/VTC environments, including setup, testing, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform pre-event system checks and provide real-time technical support for meetings, conferences, and other mission-critical events.
  • Install and replace AV/VTC components, displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, codecs, cabling, control devices, and related equipment as authorized.
  • Troubleshoot Windows-based workstations and other hardware/software components associated with AV/VTC environments.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine system inspections to identify potential failures before they affect operations.
  • Coordinate with network, systems, help desk, configuration management, and other technical personnel to resolve issues that cross functional boundaries.
  • Document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting actions, equipment changes, and resolutions in accordance with program procedures.
  • Maintain accurate hardware/software and configuration information as required.
  • Assist with equipment inventories, technology refreshes, installations, upgrades, and system replacements.
  • Escalate complex technical issues and recurring system problems through established support channels.
  • Follow applicable DoD, JSP, cybersecurity, configuration management, and change-control requirements.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when supporting senior government personnel and other mission customers.
  • Perform other AV/VTC and hardware/software support duties within the scope of the assigned LCAT.
