About The Position

Responsible for maintaining convention areas, banquet rooms and special event venues with audio visual requirements. This role involves following daily set up and strike procedures to facilitate audio visual needs for all Nugget conventions, banquets, special events and showroom. The technician will also organize and maintain audio visual equipment, and provide support to all Nugget electronic equipment, including repairs of equipment in Surveillance, Bingo, and Keno areas. Service and preventative maintenance on existing and new installations are also key responsibilities. The role requires taking direction from the Lead Audio Visual Technician and maintaining professional and courteous relationships with clients, vendors, co-workers, hotel guests, and other Nugget employees. Problem-solving technical issues and customer complaints, as well as maintaining a positive image of the department and the Nugget, are essential. Adherence to Nugget policies, procedures, and safety regulations is mandatory, with immediate reporting of unsafe conditions or incidents.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
Nevada Employee Gaming Registration required.

Minimum of 1 year industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow daily set up and strike procedures to facilitate audio visual needs for all Nugget conventions, banquets, special events and showroom.
Organize and maintain audio visual equipment.
Provide support to all Nugget electronic equipment including the repairs of equipment located in the following areas: Surveillance, Bingo, and Keno.
Service and take preventative maintenance measures on existing and new installations as needed.
Take direction from Audio Visual Manager and Lead Audio Visual Technician.
Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with convention and banquet clientele, vendors, co-workers, hotel guests and all other Nugget employees.
Resolve all convention, banquet, and guest room technical problems and customer complaints to the best of your ability. Communicate all complaints to the Lead Audio Visual Manager or Lead technician.
Capable of lifting a minimum of 50+ pounds.
Maintain a professional manner at all times when on or off duty, reflecting a positive image of the Audio-Visual department and the Nugget.
Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond.”
Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
Always maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
Regular predictable attendance is required.
