About The Position

Windsor Hospitality is looking for an AV Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual and IT systems, combining technical expertise in AV equipment with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure to support seamless communication, presentations, and events. The position is on-call with variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed for events. Requirements

  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting AV equipment, including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
  • Knowledge of networking principles, including IP configuration and wireless networking.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Ability to work a cloud-based IT Helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications including Office and MS Teams.
  • Familiarity with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to travel between company locations or off-site events as required.
  • 2+ years of experience in AV/IT support, preferably in a corporate and events environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Audio-Visual Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, configure, and operate AV equipment for meetings, events, and conferences, including projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, and digital displays.
  • Troubleshoot AV issues, ensuring minimal disruption during live events.
  • Maintain and upgrade AV systems to meet evolving organizational needs.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates on AV and IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with vendors for the repair and upgrade of AV and IT equipment.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use good communication skills with employees and guests.
