About The Position

A TEKsystems client is seeking skilled and dependable AV Install Technicians to install, integrate, and commission commercial audiovisual systems. Technicians work closely with project managers, foremen, lead technicians, and customers to deliver audiovisual solutions in corporate, education, healthcare, government, hospitality, and other commercial environments. The role requires regular travel to customer locations and work in active construction and renovation environments, with an emphasis on technical aptitude, workmanship, attention to detail, safety, and customer satisfaction. This is a contract position based onsite in Scottsdale, Arizona. The pay range is $20.00–$25.00 per hour. Individual compensation depends on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other job-related factors. Requirements

Strong technical aptitude, workmanship, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational and communication skills.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

CTS, CTS-I, or other AVIXA certifications.
Manufacturer certifications such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Logitech, Shure, Cisco, or Microsoft Teams Rooms.
Experience with video conferencing platforms and collaboration technologies.
Experience installing network-based AV solutions.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Low-voltage or related industry certifications.
Skills in installation, cabling, audio, video, low voltage, punchdown, Cat6, video conferencing, audiovisual systems, cable installation, Crestron, Biamp, and Extron.

Responsibilities

Install commercial audiovisual systems according to engineering drawings, scope documents, and manufacturer specifications.
Pull, route, label, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling, including category, fiber optic, speaker, control, HDMI, and AV signal cables.
Mount and install displays, video walls, projectors and screens, cameras and conferencing equipment, equipment racks, speakers, microphones, and control system components.
Assemble and wire AV equipment racks based on system designs.
Perform cable management and maintain clean, professional installations.
Read and interpret blueprints, system schematics, elevations, and wiring diagrams.
Assist with equipment configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and system commissioning.
Verify system functionality and identify installation deficiencies before project completion.
Maintain accurate installation documentation, punch lists, and project records.
Communicate project status, challenges, and material requirements to project leadership.
Ensure work complies with company quality standards and safety policies.
Maintain tools, equipment, inventory, and company vehicles in a professional manner.
Provide exceptional customer service and represent the company professionally.
Travel regularly to customer locations and work in active construction and renovation environments.
