About The Position

AbelCine is seeking experienced freelance AV Technicians to join its crew roster in support of a corporate client in New York City. The role is suited to technically skilled professionals with hands-on Cisco and Crestron experience who can independently manage AV systems and provide polished, discreet, white-glove technical support to C-suite executives and other senior stakeholders. Assignments are temporary and offered as needed based on client needs and availability. The position is onsite in New York, NY. Compensation is $680 per 8-hour day to $1,000 per 10-hour day, to be discussed.

Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Cisco codecs and Crestron switchers.
• Previous experience in corporate AV, broadcast, live events, or a similar technical production environment.
• Proficiency in microphone setup, audio level management, presentation switching, and laptop/source management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a polished, professional demeanor.
• Ability to deliver high-touch, white-glove support to C-suite executives and senior-level clients.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate client needs.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clients and production teams.
• Flexibility to accept assignments based on client needs and availability.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot corporate AV systems, including Cisco codecs and Crestron switchers.
• Provide technical support for executive meetings, presentations, and corporate events.
• Set up and mic presenters using lavalier microphones.
• Manage laptop connections, swap presentation sources, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Switch between PowerPoint presentations and manage presentation content.
• Monitor and adjust audio levels throughout meetings and events.
• Diagnose and resolve AV and technical issues in real time to minimize disruptions.
• Provide general production and technical support to ensure meetings and events run smoothly.
• Deliver professional, responsive, and discreet service to executives, clients, and other stakeholders.
