About The Position

This is a part-time AV Tech position responsible for ensuring the proper use of audio/visual equipment for scheduled events. The role involves consulting with the A/V Services Coordinator on equipment acquisition, assisting in training other staff, supporting university communication departments, staying updated on technological trends, and providing A/V services for events, which may include evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• Must be informed of current technological trends and the relevance to the university needs.
• Must be available to work hours as needed including evenings and weekends to provide Services for scheduled events.

Responsibilities

• Confirms the proper use of presentational audio/visual equipment for scheduled events.
• Consults with audio/visual Services Coordinator to propose lease or purchase of presentational audio/visual equipment and the installation of equipment.
• Assists with the development and training of part-time and/or work-study employees to operate presentational audio/visual equipment.
• Supports other university communication departments’ efforts to cover university events as needed.
• Must be informed of current technological trends and the relevance to the university needs.
• Must be available to work hours as needed including evenings and weekends to provide Services for scheduled events.
• Provide for the operation of all presentational audio/visual equipment.
