About The Position

The AV Solutions Consultant serves as a technical advisor and client-facing partner during the early stages of the sales and solution development process. This role focuses on understanding client needs, translating those needs into clear technical recommendations, and supporting the sales team with consultative expertise. You will frequently meet with clients on-site, conduct technical discovery, and help define solution requirements that the engineering team can translate into final designs and proposals. Acting as a bridge between clients, sales, and engineering, you will ensure technical requirements are clearly communicated and aligned with project goals. This role will primarily support a large enterprise client relationship in the Seattle/Bellevue area while also assisting with additional opportunities across the organization as needed.

Requirements

  • AVIXA CTS certification (CTS-D preferred)
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in AV system design, engineering, or technical consulting
  • Strong understanding of AV systems, design principles, and integration best practices
  • Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable solutions for both clients and internal teams
  • Experience collaborating with sales and engineering teams during the solution development process

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CAD-based design tools or technical system documentation
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup tools
  • Experience with Solutions360 or other AV proposal/ERP platforms
  • Hands-on AV installation or field experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site technical discovery meetings with clients to understand project needs, workflows, and system requirements
  • Partner closely with the sales team during the solution development phase of the sales process
  • Translate client needs into clear technical recommendations and solution concepts
  • Act as a technical consultant during client discussions, helping guide solution decisions and system architecture
  • Provide technical notes, system concepts, and documentation for the engineering team to develop final designs
  • Assist sales teams with solution validation and technical clarification during proposal development
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with project goals
  • Support sales teams across additional client opportunities as needed
  • Stay current on AV technologies, industry standards, and emerging solutions
  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and consultative expertise
