About The Position

The AV Project Coordinator I coordinates and completes projects in the Information Technology department for the Audio Visual team. Projects may include any AV Solutions, such as: Control System Automation, Room Monitoring Systems, Live Event Production, Lecture Capture, Digital Signage, Digital Sound Processing, Live Streaming and Video Conferencing/ Unified Communications.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent and relevant certification, OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 1-year relevant work experience, OR Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

Project Management Coordination: Works with USF departments to coordinate and install a variety of AV/IT solutions on campus and off-site satellite locations. Works alongside USF Facilities to obtain necessary infrastructure upgrades, ensuring all installations are code compliant and consulting with AVES engineering team to develop system designs and scopes of work.
Customer Contact: Meets with customers to determine AV system requirements, conducting site visits to capture specific details of installation spaces and acting as the main point-of-contact for larger scale projects, including technology training.
Documentation: Documents all phases of the projects in the project management platform, including basic communication of progress as well as milestone deliveries such as SoW, Quotes, Purchase Orders, and commissioning checklists. Additionally, assists the team in preparing proposals and designs for customer's sign-off, contributing to the project's successful execution.
Technical Commissioning/ Troubleshooting: Troubleshoots technical problems related to AV installations and equipment, resolving, or providing replacement solutions as needed.
Participates in professional development activities as appropriate.
