As an AV Post-Sales Systems Engineer, you are the vital bridge between pre-sales design concept and successful physical deployment. You will take signed contracts, validate the Sales Bills of Materials (BOM), create detailed signal flows, coordinate with construction trades, and provide technical guidance to the field teams during installation. This is a highly collaborative engineering role focused on technical precision and quality control.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of dedicated engineering experience in commercial AV systems integration.
• Mastery of modern AV technology including Dante, AV-over-IP (SDVoE, Crestron NVX, Q-SYS), DSP platforms (Biamp, Q-SYS), and major control architectures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revu Bluebeam.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent hands-on technical experience.

Nice To Haves

• CTS or CTS-D preferred.
• Vendor certifications (Q-SYS L2, Biamp Tesira, Crestron) are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical reviews of finalized Scopes of Work (SOW) and pre-sales designs to identify system dependencies, structural risks, or equipment gaps.
• Generate detailed engineering drawing packages using AutoCAD, including system schematics (signal flow), rack elevations, wall plate details, and cable run lists.
• Optimize the Bill of Materials for compatibility, product lifecycle changes, and value engineering where applicable, coordinating closely with procurement.
• Coordinate structural, electrical, and data networking requirements (MEP) with general contractors, architects, and client IT teams.
• Act as the technical point of contact for Project Managers and Field Engineers during the installation phase, clarifying design intents and resolving deployment issues.
