About The Position

Presidio is seeking an on-site AV Integration Technician to install displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems, and teleconferencing systems. The position is based in the Charlotte, NC (Whitehall Park) office or Raleigh, NC, with regular regional travel to client sites. The posting estimates travel at 85% of the time and describes daily client-site travel, including weekly out-of-town or overnight travel, at up to 75%–85% of the time.

The technician works under the direction of Lead Technicians and Project Managers, helps prepare and test AV and network hardware, and communicates with other trades and customers on site. Continuing education toward AV certification (CTS) is desired for growth within the company.

Requirements

• Experience in trades or other hands-on technical industries.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office suite skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma/GED or bachelor's degree and/or military experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in the low-voltage or AV industry.
• Ability to work on a ladder; lift, push, and/or pull 50 pounds or more; stand for long periods; and bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for prolonged periods.

Nice To Haves

• Continuing education toward AV certification (CTS) is desired.

Responsibilities

• Install displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems, and teleconferencing systems at client sites.
• Install, test, and terminate low-voltage cabling for audiovisual implementations.
• Follow instructions from Lead Technicians and Project Managers to complete AV installations.
• Complete basic rack wiring.
• Learn the basics of operating various collaboration platforms.
• Assist with inventory, staging, and testing AV and network hardware in preparation for installation.
• Communicate with other trades and handle basic customer communication on site.
• Travel to various job sites, including regular client-site and out-of-town/overnight travel.
