About The Position

The AV Technician is responsible for the successful physical deployment, installation, and implementation of AV systems in alignment with project requirements, ET standards, and client expectations. This role coordinates on-site installation activities, supports technical execution, maintains communication with project stakeholders and trades, and ensures systems are installed safely, professionally, and ready for commissioning and client use. Advance expertise in system configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting across the full project lifecycle (pre-wire, install, commissioning, closeout). Strengthen ability to interpret and validate SOW, BOM, and drawing packages against real-world site conditions, improving as-built and closeout documentation accuracy. Develop leadership in site coordination, task delegation, and team oversight, including mentoring Installers and Junior Installers. Build proficiency in identifying risks, resolving issues, and protecting project timelines. Improve client-facing communication and on-site professionalism. Pursue advanced certifications and manufacturer training, and contribute to continuous improvement of installation standards and field processes. As project and business needs evolve, support the broader team by applying and expanding skills beyond core responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years Audio Visual Integration experience
  • Proficiency in using Crestron, Biamp, QSYS and Video conferencing platforms (Cisaco, Microsoft, Zoom, Google Meet) and additional Audio Visual platforms and technologies.
  • G class License
  • Personal vehicle for daily travel between client sites

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, label, dress, and test AV cabling and equipment to ET standards, maintaining quality and consistency in rack build, cable management, and installation best practices and in compliance with site and company policies.
  • Ensure system configuration, installation, and performance align with the SOW and client use case.
  • Act as Site Lead: liaise with the client, coordinate with other trades, participate in walkthroughs and demonstrations, and direct on-site resources (including subcontractors and temporary labour) to complete project tasks on schedule.
  • Maintain daily communication with the Production Team on project status, and proactively escalate technical, site, or scheduling risks.
  • Verify equipment received matches project requirements, perform Site Readiness (Facilities Verification) and spot checks, and report discrepancies and deficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot installation and hardware issues with Integration, Programming, and Engineering, and support commissioning, functional verification, and system testing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation throughout (site conditions, progress, deficiencies, as-built changes, final state) and perform closeout activities including the RMA process.
  • Log daily time billing, account for all tools and company assets, and uphold and contribute to ET installation standards and documentation.
