About The Position

Our team is partnering with a premier custom technology integration firm based in Kahului, HI, known for delivering high-end residential solutions, including multi-million dollar luxury automation and lighting control projects. The company is currently in a purposeful season of growth and cultural renewal, refocusing on its roots to ensure a team-first environment defined by kindness, excellence, and integrity. This is an opportunity to join a foundational team that values the "craft" of integration and the strength of local reputation. This role offers the chance to be a cultural architect, work with autonomy and trust directly with an owner, lead high-end projects, and enjoy a supportive community with a full support system. We are seeking a Field Project Manager to serve as the "insulation" between the owner and daily field operations. This is a hands-on leadership role designed for someone who can bridge the gap between sales and execution. You will be responsible for ensuring projects stay on schedule and on budget while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. The ideal candidate is a "natural general"—a leader who commands respect through action and clear communication, and who isn't afraid to jump in and assist the team with physical tasks to cross the finish line.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Project Management within the custom integration (AV) or high-end residential construction industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on "kindness-first" leadership and de-escalation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical project plans and scopes of work.
  • Willingness to be physically active on job sites and assist the installation team when needed.
  • Exemplary organization skills and experience with project documentation.

Responsibilities

  • On-Site Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 15, providing field oversight and ensuring work meets the company's rigorous standards.
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Manage a mix of short-term retrofits and long-cycle $3M+ luxury projects, ensuring quick turnaround times for small jobs and deep relationship management for long-term builds.
  • Strategic Communication: Translate sales designs into "tech language" for field staff and serve as the primary liaison for builders, architects, and high-end homeowners.
  • Hands-On Support: Act as a "Field PM" by being willing to assist with physical tasks—such as hanging a TV or popping in speakers—when necessary to motivate the team or meet a deadline.
  • Documentation and Accountability: Maintain meticulous project documentation, manage change orders, and proactively anticipate potential bottlenecks before they impact the schedule.
  • Client De-escalation: Build rapport and trust with clients, handling any inevitable project issues with grace, kindness, and a focus on resolution.

Benefits

  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Company-provided take-home vehicle
  • Life Insurance policy
  • Quarterly team barbecues
