About The Position

The AV Coordinator performs and oversees the operation of Sound Board and AV needs for pastoral services and will coordinate assistance needs of AV operations and volunteers.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. Significant experience may be considered in lieu of.
The qualified candidate will have a minimum of one-year experience in general AV support needs, sound system operations and lighting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience or capacity to demonstrate positive interpersonal skills and work as a cooperative team member.
Close attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality
Ability to multi-task several projects concurrently
Must have an interest and ability to work with people of diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds in a sensitive and culturally appropriate manner.
Proficiency in computer software applications, including demonstrated experience in using email, MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

Oversee the operation needs of the Sound Board system and lighting for all services.
Sets policies for sound board operation and usage.
Trains support people (volunteers) for sound board operation, lighting and support.
Be present Sunday mornings to perform a thorough sound check by 10:30am and other times as needed for special services including Praise Band rehearsals throughout the week.
Oversee operations of projection equipment, computer hardware, software, files, and presentation
Attends Corps Council.
Perform other related duties and activities as required by the Corps Administrator.
Successfully satisfy the training requirements associated to the position and as required by The Salvation Army.
