About The Position

MCS is hiring for an Audio Visual Technician in Tampa, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. The Audio Visual Technician must demonstrate experience with A/V, Data, Voice, Networking, and Fiber cabling. The Audio Visual Technician will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations. Requirements

• Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent
• Certification Requirements: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.
• 2 years of Low Voltage or Control Systems experience preferred.
• 2 years of experience installing AV/VTC equipment.
• Ability to terminate cabling.
• Ability to gain access to DOD/Government facilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to travel to project sites outside of the Tampa Bay Area.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 10/30, CTS, Creston, AMX, or Extron certifications desired

Responsibilities

• Terminating, Testing, Soldering, and Dressing all Low Voltage Cabling.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Using Scissor Lifts / Boom Lifts.
• Traveling to project and user locations around the greater Tampa Bay Area.
• Working flexible hours including nights and/or weekends.
• Installing and setting up media equipment such as LCD projectors, speakers, TVs, video monitors, and cameras.
• Complete electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction
• Setting up additional AV tools like equipment racks.
