About The Position
The College of Fine Arts is the college of creativity at The University of Texas at Austin—a home for artists, performers, designers, scholars, educators, makers and creatives ready to change the world. This position will support the Audio/Video Team within the College of Fine Arts Dean’s Office, providing classroom/event support as well as maintenance and repairs. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience providing IT support to a customer base.
- Two years’ experience in customer service.
- One year of experience in AV support.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AV control and automation.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot AV hardware and software up to current networking protocols.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer OS (Windows and Mac).

Nice To Haves
- AV Classroom support experience within higher education environment.
- In-depth understanding of signal flow.
- In-depth understanding of computer networking.
- Certifications in AV technology (Extron, Crestron, Zoom, etc).
Responsibilities
- Main front line Tier 1 support call response, remediation and documentation.
- Assist with preparation, installation and inventory of life cycle AV upgrades.
- Assist with local networking infrastructure and devices.
- Assist with the intake and local delivery of device inventory and tracking.
- Assist the AV Team with Tier 2 support, research, repair/replace and maintenance.
- Assist AV Team with AV set-up, operation & breakdown for college events.
- Cage reorganization
- CCART and Surplus runs
- Assist SysAdmin with inventory
- Operational checklist and Classrooms device wiki updates
