About The Position

Auxiliary Services is seeking student temporary employees for summer and fall 2026. The roles offer a variety of unique jobs, and no prior experience is necessary. Applicants are encouraged to apply early to get first pick of location and shifts. The application process involves completing a Google application form and undergoing a university background check, which can take time. Candidates must bring original ID documents (such as birth certificate, license, social security card, passport) to campus for hiring paperwork, as copies are not accepted. If an applicant does not hear from a hiring manager within two weeks, they may inquire about their application status via email. General job descriptions include roles in Campus Dining (cashiering, customer service, cooking, cleaning), Catering (serving, preparing drinks/food, customer service, cleaning), La Gran Terraza (server, prep cook, bartender, dish room), USD Torero Store (cashiering, handling/preparing merchandise, customer service, cleaning), Auxiliary Services Storeroom (physical work, lifting/moving 50 pounds), and Student Affairs Facilities (physical work, lifting/moving 50 pounds).

Requirements

• Successful completion of a background check
• Bring applicable original documents (such as social security card, birth certificate, passport) to campus for hiring paperwork
• Complete various trainings and compliance standards prior to first day of work and/or within a certain timeframe
• Obtain a California Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hire date (for Foodservice Jobs)
• Complete RBS training within 60 days of hire date (for Bartenders/Servers)
• Possess a valid driver's license and complete applicable training (for positions required to drive a golf cart/vehicle)
