This is a temporary position at the University of Pennsylvania, working with an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology at the School of Medicine and an Associate Director of Translational Medicine. The laboratory focuses on studying the immune system, emerging infectious diseases, and rare rheumatic diseases, with a major emphasis on understanding how interferons regulate immune responses. Experiments often involve animal models of human disease, including studies of viruses and animals with mutations in genes encoding viral nucleic acid sensors. This role will specifically concentrate on screening inhibitors and degraders, as well as performing mouse work.
