About The Position

The Student disAbility Resources Center (SdRC) is committed to providing outstanding services that enable students with disabilities to actively engage in academic and educational opportunities and establish themselves as esteemed members of the CSUDH community and the world. Under the general supervision of the Interim AVP, Health & Well-Being, the Auxiliary Service Coordinator will provide a full range of administrative support to the Student disAbility Resource Center (SdRC). Duties will include but are not limited to providing administrative department support, coordinating paperwork for purchases and reconciliation, assisting with staff and students' attendance, and participate in representing the department at campus wide activities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the resource center and supporting its mission to provide comprehensive services to students with disabilities.

Requirements

  • High school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents
  • Three (3) years of related office work experience.
  • Demonstrated Sensitivity to the needs and experiences of students with disabilities and a commitment to promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Thorough knowledge of office systems and ability to use a broader range of technology, systems, and packages.
  • Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects.
  • Ability to apply independently a wide variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of disability laws and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
  • Familiarity with disability accommodations, assistive technologies, and accessibility standards in higher education.
  • Experience in conducting intake assessments, reviewing documentation, and determining appropriate accommodations.
  • Proficiency in using technology tools relevant to disability services and data management

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the Student Disability Resource Center, including managing correspondence, maintaining records, scheduling meetings, and handling inquiries.
  • Assist with the coordination of events, workshops, and training sessions conducted by the resource center.
  • Support the development and maintenance of departmental policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Coordinates and schedules the program director’s calendar.
