About The Position

The Auxiliary Maintenance Technician will have daily responsibilities to include ensuring compliance with safety/ environmental policies and support TPM and Lean processes. Maintenance Technicians are also responsible for executing the TPM process while supporting production to ensure efficient operations and its continual improvements.

Requirements

  • Able to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints
  • Knowledge of computer components, installation and configuring
  • Strong mechanical skills with the ability to work from mechanical drawing to interpret how mechanical parts are disassembled/ re-assembled
  • Knowledge of how PLC's work
  • Must be able to communicate well with others both verbally and in writing
  • Physically able to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to perform duties within small areas, as small as 2 ft x 2 ft
  • Own a roll around tool box with a mechanics type tool assortment
  • Job related experience with troubleshooting of 1 to 3 years

Nice To Haves

  • Injection molding experience, preferred
  • PLC experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on assigned equipment and instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot and Repair six axis robotics and pick and place robotics
  • Electrical troubleshooting including PLC's using discreet and analog inputs/outputs
  • Troubleshoot and repair modern injection molding machines, including: hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and computer based machine issues
  • Troubleshoot and repair material conveying systems
  • Have the ability to operate man lifts to a height of 30 feet
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools, and examining form and texture of parts
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and pneumatic control system problems on production machinery, auxiliary equipment, and fixtures
  • Communicate with supervisor and production personnel to ensure efficient operations
  • Assist with set up and tear down of packaging line
