About The Position

MARTIN Technologies is seeking an AUTOSAR BSW Platform Integration Engineer to support microcontroller-based automotive modules at a customer facility in Allen Park, Michigan. This hands-on position focuses on Vector-based AUTOSAR Classic platforms, low-level software, communication interfaces, and application integration. The engineer will help deliver reliable platform software for body control modules and next-generation vehicle architectures. The role involves bringing up microcontroller platforms; configuring and validating MCAL drivers, AUTOSAR BSW, and operating-system components; developing and debugging embedded C software; and integrating communication stacks and applications. The engineer will also implement and validate low-power behavior, assess system performance, troubleshoot across software layers, and maintain technical documentation and validation results to support repeatable software releases. The position is 100% onsite in Allen Park, Michigan, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overtime as required. Onsite attendance is required from day one. Applicants must currently reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered now or in the future.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of embedded software experience.
  • At least 2 years of programming experience in C/C++ or Python, with strong hands-on C/C++ programming skills.
  • Experience writing portable, platform-independent software.
  • Hands-on experience with Vector-based AUTOSAR Classic platform integration.
  • Experience with low-level interfaces such as I2C, SPI, ICU, PWM, GPT, and CAN.
  • At least 1 year of experience developing proof-of-concept applications for automotive ECUs.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Strong embedded debugging and hardware–software troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and collaborate across technical teams.
  • Availability to work 100% onsite in Allen Park, Michigan, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overtime as required.
  • Must currently reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive ECU software development and integration experience.
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR methodology, workflows, authoring tools, and RTE configuration.
  • Embedded software development on Linux platforms.
  • Software simulation using hardware models.
  • Knowledge of functional safety, ISO 26262, and ASIL A–D.
  • Experience with embedded development tools, build systems, and software release processes.

Responsibilities

  • Bring up microcontroller platforms, including clocks, pin mapping, memory initialization, interrupts, and peripherals.
  • Configure and validate MCAL drivers and resolve hardware–software integration issues.
  • Develop and debug embedded C software for low-level and platform components.
  • Configure, integrate, and validate AUTOSAR BSW and operating-system components.
  • Establish task scheduling, interrupt handling, initialization sequences, and startup behavior.
  • Integrate CAN DBC and LIN LDF descriptions into platform configurations.
  • Configure communication stacks, signal mapping, message routing, and middleware interfaces.
  • Implement and validate low-power operation, sleep-entry conditions, wake-up sources, and restoration of platform services.
  • Verify sleep current, wake-up timing, and repeated sleep/wake behavior.
  • Develop translation interfaces connecting non-AUTOSAR C applications with ECU middleware.
  • Validate application initialization, scheduling, data exchange, and end-to-end integration.
  • Measure and optimize RAM usage, CPU load, task execution time, and startup performance.
  • Debug issues across drivers, BSW, operating systems, middleware, and applications.
  • Maintain configurations, interface specifications, build instructions, and validation results to support repeatable software releases.
