About The Position
We're looking for a Vehicle Installation Technician to help build autonomous (self-driving) vehicles. In this role, you'll install sensors, wiring, and hardware into production vehicles to prepare them for testing and deployment.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of hands-on installation, assembly, or mechanical experience
- Experience in automotive, EV, robotics, manufacturing, aerospace, fleet upfitting, or autonomous vehicles
- Experience with: Vehicle disassembly and reassembly
- Hardware installation
- Wiring harness routing
- Low-voltage electrical work
- Hand and power tools
- Able to follow work instructions and SOPs
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working around vehicles in a production environment
Nice To Haves
- Autonomous vehicle or EV manufacturing experience
- Fleet upfitting or aftermarket electronics installation
- Experience performing inspections or validation checks
Responsibilities
- Remove interior panels and vehicle components
- Install sensors, brackets, and mounting hardware
- Route and secure wiring harnesses
- Connect low-voltage electrical components
- Perform installation checks and document completed work
- Troubleshoot basic installation issues
- Use hand and power tools safely and accurately
