Autonomous Vehicle Control Room Operator

About The Position
This full-time, on-site contract position is based in an office in Austin, Texas. The operator monitors self-driving vehicles from a computer station using live video feeds; the role does not involve driving. Operators identify unusual activity and potential safety concerns, respond to alerts, assist with vehicle operations, document incidents, communicate with teammates, and troubleshoot basic technical problems. The position offers $24–$25 per hour and rotating shifts that may include weekends.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant monitoring, dispatch, technical support, or similar experience.
- Comfort using computers and multiple monitors.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to document incidents accurately.
- Knowledge of traffic rules and a clean driving record.
- Availability for rotating shifts and weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Strong video gaming experience.
- Interest in new technology.
- Experience in video gaming or esports, security surveillance, 911 or transportation dispatch, IT support, fleet operations, control room operations, military drone operations, or autonomous vehicle operations.
