About The Position
America's Auto Auction is a growing national auto auction company seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Automotive Vehicle Inspector/Condition Report Writer. This role involves working independently and as part of a team to inspect vehicles and write detailed condition reports. Prior experience in related inspection or appraisal roles is preferred.
Requirements
- Able to work outside during all weather conditions.
- Able to bend, reach, stand, walk and lift up-to 20 lbs. without difficulty.
- Regular and consistent availability and attendance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, for duration of employment.
- Need to pass pre-employment screening.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a rental car damage inspector, insurance appraiser/adjuster, collision/body shop estimator, auction vehicle inspector, dealership vehicle appraiser, or related inspection/appraiser experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review vehicle inspection data and photos to write detailed condition reports.
- Identify damage, wear, or discrepancies using guidelines and industry standards provided.
- Ensure reports meet internal quality control standards and client requirements.
- Work with field staff and inspection teams to clarify findings when needed.
- Submit timely, polished reports that support vehicle sales, leasing, or valuation processes.
- Complete 20 to 25 condition reports daily.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
