About The Position
Five Star Chevrolet is hiring experienced Used Car Automotive Technicians. This role involves executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications, diagnosing and testing vehicle components, and ensuring vehicles are reconditioned according to the Used Car Manager's authorization. The position requires strong communication skills with both the Parts Department and Service Advisors, as well as accountability for dealership tools and manuals.
Requirements
- Experienced Used Car Automotive Techs
- Accountability for All Dealership-Owned Tools and Manuals
- Ability to Drain Oil from Crankcase and Refill with Required Amount of Oil, Replace Oil and Air Filters
- Ability to Communicate Directly with Service Advisors Regarding Services Needed
- Ability to Provide an Estimate of Time Needed for Additional Repairs
- Ability to Perform Work Specified on the Repair Order with Efficiency and Accuracy

Responsibilities
- Execute Repairs Under Warranty to Manufacturer Specifications
- Test-drive Vehicles and Test Components and Systems Using Diagnostic Tools and Special Service Equipment
- Communicate with Parts Department to Obtain Needed Parts
- Inspect Vehicle Fluid Levels and Replace or Replenish As Necessary
- Check Tire Pressure and Service As Needed
- Perform Multi-point Inspections on Pre-Owned Vehicles
- Recondition As per Used Car Manager's Authorization
- Maintain Accountability for All Dealership-Owned Tools and Manuals
