About The Position

Bell Audi is hiring an experienced, dependable Used Car Technician for its Pre-Owned Vehicle Department in Edison, New Jersey. The technician will inspect, service, repair, and recondition pre-owned vehicles so they are safe, reliable, and ready for retail sale. This is an in-person position in a professional luxury dealership environment, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends. The listed annual salary is $40,000–$50,000+ depending on experience.

Requirements

• Previous automotive technician experience.
• At least 1 year of dealership experience.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with general automotive repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to inspect vehicles and identify mechanical concerns.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented work ethic.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Ability to commute to Edison, NJ 08817.

• Used vehicle reconditioning experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive mechanical inspections of used vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
• Complete general automotive repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Perform oil changes, brake repairs, fluid services, and other routine maintenance.
• Inspect and repair suspension and steering components.
• Identify additional repairs needed to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
• Complete reconditioning work accurately and efficiently.
• Perform quality-control inspections and road tests after repairs.
• Document repairs and vehicle condition.
• Collaborate with Used Car Management, Service, Parts, and Sales teams.
• Help keep vehicles moving efficiently through the reconditioning process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
