About The Position

Due to high volume, Coughlin Chillicothe GM has an immediate need for experienced Used Car Service Technicians to join their growing used car reconditioning operation. This position offers a competitive wage dependent on experience, with a compensation program designed to maximize earning potential. The work schedule is flexible, typically around 40 hours per week, with no cap on hours turned for flat rate techs. Service departments are closed on Sundays and only open until 6 pm during the week.

Requirements

Current/recent experience as a Used Car Technician: independent shop, tire store, or dealership experience preferred.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely, daily.
High school graduate/GED.
Satisfactory employment references.

ASE certifications a plus

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on the repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
