About The Position

Coughlin Heath Nissan is seeking experienced Used Car Service Technicians to join their team due to high volume and a growing used car reconditioning operation. This position offers a competitive wage based on experience, with a compensation program designed to maximize earning potential. The dealership is one of the fastest-growing in Central Ohio, with multiple locations and brands, and boasts industry-leading service, body, and parts departments. The work schedule is flexible, typically around 40 hours per week, with no cap on hours for flat-rate technicians. Service departments are closed on Sundays and operate until 6 pm on weekdays.

Requirements

Current/recent experience as a Used Car Technician (independent shop, tire store, or dealership experience preferred).
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely, daily.
High school graduate/GED.
Satisfactory employment references.

Nice To Haves

ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on the repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers about any additional service needed and provide estimates for additional repairs.
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
