About The Position

Coughlin Chillicothe GM is seeking experienced Used Car Service Technicians due to high volume in their used car reconditioning operation. This position offers a competitive wage based on experience, with a compensation program designed to maximize earning potential. The work schedule is flexible, typically around 40 hours per week, with no cap on hours for flat-rate technicians. Service departments are closed on Sundays and operate until 6 pm on weekdays.

Requirements

Current/recent experience as a Used Car Technician (independent shop, tire store, or dealership experience preferred).
ASE certifications a plus.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely, daily.
High school graduate/GED.
Satisfactory employment references.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on the repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers about any additional service needs and provide time estimates for additional repairs.
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
