About The Position
Coughlin Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is seeking experienced Used Car Service Technicians due to high volume and a growing used car reconditioning operation. This position offers a competitive wage based on experience, with a compensation program designed to maximize earning potential. The work schedule is flexible, typically around 40 hours per week, with no cap on hours for flat-rate technicians. Service departments are closed on Sundays and operate until 6 pm on weekdays.
Requirements
- Current/recent experience as a Used Car Technician (independent shop, tire store, or dealership experience preferred).
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely, daily.
- High school graduate/GED.
- Satisfactory employment references.
Nice To Haves
- ASE certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on the repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers about any additional service needs and provide estimates for additional repairs.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
