About The Position

Coughlin Pataskala Kia dealership is seeking experienced Used Car Service Technicians due to high volume. This position offers a competitive wage based on experience, with a compensation program designed to maximize earning potential. The dealership is one of the fastest-growing in Central Ohio, with multiple locations and brands, and boasts unmatched service, body, and parts departments. The work schedule is flexible, typically around 40 hours per week, with no cap on hours for flat-rate technicians. Service departments are closed on Sundays and close at 6 pm on weekdays.

Requirements

Current/recent experience as a Used Car Technician (independent shop, tire store, or dealership experience preferred).
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely, daily.
High school graduate/GED.
Satisfactory employment references.

Nice To Haves

ASE certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on the repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
