About The Position

Mercedes-Benz of Shreveport is seeking a skilled and motivated Main Line Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Mercedes-Benz vehicles to manufacturer standards while delivering an exceptional ownership experience to our customers. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of automotive repair experience, preferably in a dealership environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Knowledge of gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and advanced vehicle systems.
  • Ability to use diagnostic scanners, specialized tools, and shop equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Mercedes-Benz experience or manufacturer-specific certifications.
  • ASE Certifications (A-Series, L1, or Master Technician preferred).
  • Experience with advanced electrical diagnostics and vehicle technology systems.
  • Previous luxury automotive dealership experience.
  • State inspection certification (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.
  • Complete maintenance and repair services according to Mercedes-Benz factory standards and dealership policies.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional service recommendations.
  • Diagnose complex drivability, performance, and electrical concerns using manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
  • Repair and replace components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, steering, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Document repair procedures, diagnostics, and recommended services thoroughly and accurately.
  • Maintain productivity and efficiency goals while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  • Collaborate with Service Advisors and Parts Department personnel to ensure timely vehicle repairs.
  • Participate in Mercedes-Benz training programs and stay current on evolving vehicle technologies.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, dealership policies, and environmental guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Deliver a positive customer experience by ensuring repairs are completed correctly the first time.
