Requirements

  • Proficiency in all Level I automotive criteria.
  • Adept use of hand and power tools to perform essential repairs and services.
  • Basic diagnostics and replacement of components like starters, alternators, batteries, and brake components.
  • Routine maintenance such as oil changes and fluid exchanges.
  • Tire repair, mounting, and balancing tires.
  • 1-2 years of automotive repair and service experience in a professional setting.
  • State certified in a minimum of 2 to 4 areas.
  • Personal diagnostic tools and equipment necessary to perform functions of this skill level.

Nice To Haves

  • Continuous pursuit of ASE certifications after hiring is encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing vehicle issues and developing repair plans.
  • Performing routine maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Conducting basic diagnosis and repairs for fluid services, brakes, steering and suspension, alignments, starting system components, and general mileage maintenance.
  • Maintaining accurate records of services performed and parts used.
  • Collaborating with fellow mechanics and technicians.
  • Staying current with industry trends and best practices.
