About The Position

Northrich Automotive, a family-owned shop serving the Richardson and Dallas-Fort Worth community for nearly 30 years, is seeking an experienced A or B Level Automotive Technician. This role is due to an increasing workload from an established customer base. The ideal candidate will be a productive technician capable of accurately inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of foreign and domestic vehicles. You will join a busy, family-owned shop offering year-round work, professional service advisors, company-provided training, and career advancement opportunities.

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional automotive repair experience preferred.
  • A- or B-level mechanical ability.
  • Ability to complete repairs independently.
  • Strong understanding of modern vehicle systems.
  • Diagnostic and electrical-testing experience.
  • Experience servicing multiple foreign and domestic makes.
  • Ability to perform accurate digital vehicle inspections.
  • Comfortable using tablets, scan tools, and digital shop software.
  • Personal technician tools appropriate for the position.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Professional communication and team-oriented attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns based on experience level.
  • Perform brake, steering, suspension, cooling-system, A/C, and drivetrain repairs.
  • Complete scheduled maintenance and fluid services.
  • Diagnose check-engine lights and warning indicators.
  • Use scan data, testing procedures, and service information to identify root causes.
  • Perform complete digital vehicle inspections.
  • Document findings with accurate notes and photographs.
  • Distinguish immediate safety concerns from maintenance and future repair needs.
  • Communicate findings and additional diagnostic needs to the service advisor.
  • Verify completed repairs through testing and quality-control procedures.
  • Complete assigned work accurately and within expected timeframes.
  • Protect customers’ vehicles, tools, and shop equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Assist developing technicians when appropriate.
