About The Position

Century BMW in Huntsville, Alabama, is hiring a skilled automotive technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on customer and dealership vehicles. The position works with BMW diagnostic technologies and follows BMW Center and Factory standards. The technician will participate in ongoing BMW training and collaborate with Service Advisors and Parts Department employees to support efficient service and a high-quality customer experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 5 years of hands-on automotive repair experience in a professional environment or equivalent.
Mechanical, electrical, and computing skills.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver's license.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Must be able to pass pre-employment testing, including a background check and MVR check, and maintain a valid driver's license.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized, with strong time-management skills.
Commitment to fixing repairs right the first time and providing a strong customer experience.

Nice To Haves

Previous European automotive technician experience.
ASE certifications.
Enthusiasm for innovative automotive technologies.

Responsibilities

Receive and carry out repair orders as dispatched.
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to determine repair needs.
Provide labor, time, and parts estimates for required repairs.
Perform efficient, high-quality repairs on engines, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and other automotive systems according to BMW Center and Factory standards.
Conduct quality-control checks on completed repairs.
Complete required repair-service paperwork and documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and account for dealership and personal tools.
Communicate with Service Advisors and Parts Department employees to ensure a seamless workflow.
Participate in ongoing BMW proprietary training to develop skills and stay current with BMW technologies and processes.
Demonstrate company values in interactions and perform duties safely.
