About The Position

BMW is seeking an Automotive Technician to join their team. This role involves performing specified work on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership policies. The technician will test components and systems using diagnostic tools, test drive vehicles, and diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems. Communication with the Service Advisor is key to keeping customers informed about additional service needs, and the technician will complete online multi-point inspection reports. Warranty repairs will be executed to manufacturer specifications. The position also includes administrative duties, assisting in other areas of the maintenance shop as needed, and other duties assigned by the Service Manager. Requirements

Excellent mechanical aptitude of vehicle maintenance and repair
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills

Computer literate
Valid driver’s license
Must possess necessary tools to assign tasks

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies
Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment; test drive vehicles
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Complete online multi-point inspection report
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Perform required administrative duties when necessary
Assist in other areas of the vehicle maintenance shop as needed
Other duties as assigned by Service Manager
