About The Position

Philpott Ford is seeking skilled Automotive Technicians to join their growing team. The role involves diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, drivability, and performance issues on Ford vehicles, performing maintenance, using factory diagnostic equipment, completing multi-point inspections, communicating with Service Advisors, working with the Parts Department, documenting repairs, road testing vehicles, mentoring apprentice technicians, and participating in ongoing Ford factory training. Technicians are expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment and treat customer vehicles with professionalism.

Requirements

  • Experience as an Automotive Service Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to efficiently diagnose, repair, and maintain today's increasingly complex vehicles
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA

Nice To Haves

  • Ford dealership experience is a plus, but not required
  • ASE Certifications are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, drivability, and performance concerns on Ford vehicles.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs efficiently while meeting Ford and dealership quality standards.
  • Use factory diagnostic equipment and technical resources to accurately identify and resolve vehicle issues.
  • Complete thorough multi-point inspections and identify additional maintenance or safety recommendations.
  • Communicate repair findings and recommendations with Service Advisors to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Work closely with the Parts Department to keep repairs moving efficiently.
  • Accurately document diagnostics, repairs, warranty information, and labor operations.
  • Road test vehicles as needed to verify repairs and ensure quality workmanship.
  • Mentor apprentice technicians and help foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Participate in ongoing Ford factory training and stay current with the latest technology, repair procedures, and technical service bulletins.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all dealership and safety policies.
  • Treat every customer's vehicle with the professionalism and care you would expect for your own.
