About The Position

Fred Anderson Toyota of Charleston is looking for Experienced Automotive Technicians to join their developing and expansive family of service providers. This role involves performing factory-scheduled maintenance, following manufacturer repair and diagnostic procedures, and identifying vehicle concerns through test drives. The technician will communicate with service advisors about repairs and additional needs, and participate in classes and training to advance their knowledge. Requirements

  • Individuals who can perform factory scheduled maintenance and follow all manufacture repair and diagnostic procedures
  • Test drive vehicles to identify any concerns or issues
  • Someone who can communicate with service advisors about repairs and additional needs for vehicle
  • Perform high-quality, professional and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of vehicles
  • Work as a team with the service department professionals
  • Participation in classes and training to advance knowledge of working on vehicles
  • Stay up to date on products and vehicle maintenance requirements
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Strong focus on providing the best service experience for every customer
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record is required
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2-3 years prior technician experience
  • Possess one or more ASE certifications

Nice To Haves

  • Ability and knowledge to conduct repair orders and mechanical work on vehicles
  • Maintain the ability to diagnose and repair vehicles in accordance with the manufacturer standards
  • Be able to answer questions regarding vehicles, the dealership and service
  • Work towards Master Technician certification if not a Master Technician already

Responsibilities
