About The Position
Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma is seeking an Entry-Level Automotive Technician who is serious about developing into a full-line, flat-rate technician. This position includes routine maintenance work and assistance with daily shop operations. Training is available for candidates interested in developing automotive repair skills. This position is best suited for individuals committed to long-term growth in the automotive industry.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong automotive background
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic mathematical aptitude
- Ability to understand and apply common sense.
- Clean driving record
- Willing to submit to a drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Basic mechanical knowledge or technical schooling preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance services (oil changes, inspections, tire rotations)
- Assist certified technicians with diagnostics and repair work
- Learn troubleshooting and mechanical systems hands-on
- Support workflow in a high-end service department
- Build foundational skills toward flat-rate technician progression
