About The Position

Northtown Volvo is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to perform repair and maintenance work on Volvo vehicles. Technicians complete assigned work in accordance with dealership and factory standards, diagnose malfunctions, and communicate with Service Advisors and the Parts department as needed. This is a full-time position with a three-day rotating schedule: 7:30 AM–9:00 PM, Monday through Wednesday for one month, then Thursday through Saturday for the next month. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available to applicants who are A status, have manufacturer training, and have a dealership background. The bonus is paid incrementally, beginning 90 days after the start date.

Requirements

Previous work as an Automotive Technician or graduation from an accredited Automotive Repair program.
Valid, active, in-state driver's license.
Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
Ability to operate a smartphone, tablet, and/or PC.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturer training and a dealership background, with A status, qualify applicants for the sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

Receive repair orders from Service Advisors and perform the outlined work efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards.
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
Communicate with the Parts department to obtain needed parts.
Save and tag parts when a job is under warranty or when requested by the customer.
Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service work and promptly inform the Service Advisor if additional work is needed, listed work is unnecessary, or repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
Document all work performed.
Road-test vehicles when required.
Keep customer vehicles clean.
Keep the shop area neat and clean and account for dealership-owned tools.
