About The Position
AutoNation is seeking a Paid Intern – Automotive Technician Specialist, with the potential for full-time hire, to join our team onsite in Mesa, AZ. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with our Autonomous Vehicle Partner in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. The internship will run from now through November 2026, (with possible extension) providing valuable experience alongside industry professionals in an innovative and fast-paced setting. The Automotive Technician Specialist will be dedicated to a specialized project involving autonomous vehicles, fostering customer loyalty by building trust and ensuring confidence in AutoNation as a trusted provider of vehicle safety and reliability.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency with hand tools and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow established procedures to ensure quality and safety.
- Must have a valid in-state driver’s license with a clean and safe driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as an express/quick lube technician preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performing vehicle work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with customer standards.
- Communicating with Service Manager and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
