Automotive Technician -Mechanic
About The Position
Berlin City Honda is seeking an experienced Main Line Technician to join their successful and passionate team. This role offers a significant income opportunity, with the potential to earn $60,000 to $150,000 annually, and a sign-on bonus for certified technicians. The Main Line Technician will be responsible for diagnosing vehicle service problems and performing quality repairs on assigned tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The position requires advising the Service Writer on necessary repairs and parts, and informing the manager of any deviations from the original repair order.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience and strong knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing automotive systems such as the engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Continuous learning of new technical information and techniques through training to stay up to date with rapidly changing technology.
- Previous (1-2 years) of automotive technician experience.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a favorable motor vehicle record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
- Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle service problems.
- Perform quality repairs on assigned repairs.
- Ensure repairs are done correctly the first time.
- Conduct quality checks after each repair.
- Advise the Service Writer of necessary repairs, including required parts.
- Inform the manager of any changes or deviations from the original repair instructions.
- Complete comprehensive documentation of cause/correction, specifications, and other pertinent information needed to describe repair activities.
- Ensure current knowledge of the latest technical data and service procedures.
- Retain essential tools necessary to complete assigned repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and lock up all tools daily.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all customer interactions, co-workers, and vendors.
